The first thing I would like to say is, "I have never had an experience that was unexplainable, that I can remember"

They say children and pets minds are more open to paranormal incidents than adults. As a child I lived in two houses (that I know of) that someone past away in.

The first house was owned by an ex-boyfriend of my mother's. His mother (for reasons I don't know) hung herself in the basement. I would have been about eight years old at this time. Everytime I went down there my eyes were wide open. I personally never saw anything that was unexplainable.

The second house is where an older woman died of heart failure. I would have been ten or eleven when we lived there. I would sit in the living room and watch T.V. When I was by myself I would occasionally see a figure at the other end of the hallway. The figure would walk from the bedroom into the bathroom. I always thought (still to this day) it was my imagination. I have always had a vivid imagination. So years have passed, never experiencing anything again, until now.

I am now a member of V.T.P.R. I am the group's biggest skeptic. Due to my wife and brother in law's belief in ghosts we started this group. We have purchased several pieces of equipment over time. Our group all agreed that before we ventured into a "haunted" house, we should train ourselves.

We started with our own home and have done several others since. We have collected readings, photos, video and recordings. Many of our photos had orbs in them, of course some were dust. Then we collected recordings of voices that were unknown to us, from my own home. We have also collected from other sites we have investigated.

When we started collecting E.V.P's it was quite interesting. We would have a formal recording session for E.V.P.'s where we would ask questions of anyone or anything that might be with us. Then when we went back through the recordings we would hear a voice saying one or more words. This is where it becomes a tad more difficult and you learn to train your hearing. Translating the "voices" is always interesting. Almost everyone in the room hears the recording differently, some have slightly differnt variations of the recording and others are drastically different. But they ALWAYS sound like a voice... at first this seemed rather strange to me.

I'm not much of a believer in religion. I find that when stories are told from one person to the next the stories get stretched. When people start writing them down, they turn out to be differnt then when it really happened.

Not to get to far into religion now but . . . could all of those angel sightings been ghosts? Perhaps the people from 2-3,000 years ago simply could not explain these things that happened in the world, so they simply believed God did it. Something inside of me thinks the paranormal is more realistic than the bible stories.

If the "ghost theory" is correct, I really want to witness it firsthand. Many people from around the world have witnessed some kind of paranormal incident. All speaking different languages and being taught differently have all witnessed similar paranormal events. So if you have so many differnt types of people all of whom have their own different belief systems, seeing the same type of phenomenon, that makes the concept of paranormal events more believeable to me.

Now, I must tell you all that V.T.P.R. is going to get to analyze and investigate the Villisca Axe Murder House. I am very excited. I have read the history of the site, and read biographys of the possible killers of this unsolved crime. I have also read the information that other paranormal groups and visitors have experienced there that are totally unexplainable. I am looking forward to going with our group. We have plenty of equipment and a group of five people that I trust. I am hoping that Villisca allows me to have the experience I am looking for so I can become a believer rather that a skeptic. KEEP YOUR EYES OPEN!
